Author interviews

Writing is a solitary business, chipping away at a rock face all alone. Paranoia can creep in along with the voices. Sometimes I remind myself that it’s not just me and at least I don’t feel an overwhelming urge to turn the gun on myself or start drinking absinthe for breakfast. It does no harm to seek out the company of other writers now and then.

The BBC archive has a great selection of author interviews and broadcasts, like this one with the wonderful Doris Lessing.
